A born designer and entrepreneur, Pam is the founder and creative force behind Snapdragon Designs, a Canadian company that designs, manufactures and sells women’s handbags, cashmere sweaters and wraps. Pam launched Snapdragon in 2004 after selling her first business, one she started with her brother fresh out of university.
Pam’s family knew at a very young age that she was destined for creative success. She began painting and selling sea shells in Nantucket at 5 years of age. By the age of 7, to the envy of her friends, she was an independent movie and candy purchaser.
With a degree in Fine Arts, and over 20 years of manufacturing experience, Pam turned her love of travel, fashion and colour into her ultimate dream business.
Pam’s creativity and fashion style is inspired today by her family life. With three boys, and a husband (including the family dog, Jasper), she understands the necessity of being practical and functional while keeping a wonderful sense of humor through her beautiful colors and bold patterns.
Today Snapdragon Designs provides sophisticated, fashionable merchandise to women looking for affordable, high quality accessories. After selling the Snapdragon line exclusively at trade shows and from home for the past three years, Pam has since launched www.snapdragondesigns.ca so women across the country can purchase her products online. Pam and her family certainly look forward to fewer mealtime visits from frantic shoppers looking to get their hands on Snapdragon’s latest must-have purse or cozy cashmere creation.
